The 10 Suit Commandments

Make an impact every time you step in the room or walk out of your door. Put your faith in us and follow these 10 steps religiously to suit success (aka better first impressions, more money, great interviews and closing deals, to name a few).

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, its 10 suit commandments!

We been in this field for years its made us empirical,
here is rules for all men, to keep from satirical
talk, at your expense, lets commence…

Number 1. The size. It can be overdone. Watch how it sits, got to make sure it fits

Your suit should be slim but not restrictive. You need to be able to have a free range of motion. Comfort precludes confidence, and therefore an uncomfortable suit can be damaging. For the jacket sleeve allow for half an inch of cuff to show and the trousers should sit just above the shoe (one break/crease in trouser at most)

Number 2. Imperative. Always think it through. With careful filtration, find your best combination

Take time to save time! It may seem like a hassle at first but if you set aside a little time to go through your wardrobe and match pieces together that work well (and keep a mental note), then picking out an outfit will be as simple as Simon when ever in a rush.

Number 3, is easy. Never wear a Belt

Get trousers that fit. Once that happens, the belt really is not necessary

Number 4. If in doubt, keep it simple through out

When confused as to which suit to get, and you do not have a respectable collection of suits yet, stick to the basics. A navy blue or grey will work well, and both are very versatile.

Number 5.  Shoulders first, if you’re going off rack. Or else it throws the fit off, from the front to the back

Simple rule. The fit of the shoulder affects pretty much every other measurement. When the jacket sits perfectly on your shoulders, the rest will fall in line much easier

Number 6, you must apply. Learn to tie a tie

Start with the Four-in-hand or the half windsor knot. Make sure the shape is nice and solid and right up against the collar. The end of the tie should ideally stop just above the waistline.

Number 7. Simple. Give your tie a dimple.

Everybody loves dimples, especially ties

Number 8, should of been number 1 to me. Whether Jacket or Waistcoat leave your bottom button free.

The only time you ever button them all is on a 1 button jacket. Remember to unbutton the jacket when sitting down, its more comfortable and relieves stress on the jacket.

Number 9. You must exert. Say no to cheap shirts

Anyone offering you 5 shirts for £25 is not your friend. They don’t want you to do well in life. It may look good the first time but one wash and you’re left ironing a shirt for 2 hours which still has creases. Just say no.

Number 10. Just decide to wear it with pride

A well fitted and finished suit is the ultimate fashion statement for a man. Just ask Harvey Spector. It adds to a great feeling of power, as well as enhancing your physique
