Tunde Okewale MBE

Tunde Okewale MBE, please say the MBE. For those not in the know, MBE stands for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (a grade within the British order of chivalry). It is awarded by the Queen for outstanding service to the community (or local service).

Mr Okewale (MBE ?) joined us for an edition of Morts & More Moment a little while back. We talked all things style and showcased a special tuxedo, that we had created for him.

With features in GQ, national newspapers and a large social media following, Tunde (MBE) has proven to be one of the modern days most notable influencers. Furthermore he is the most followed barrister on Instagram and quite possibly the best dressed one too. His Urban Lawyers initiative was a game changer. It has helped many students to acquire those elusive training contracts and pupilages; not forgetting the scholarship programmes he’s devised. His drive, business nouse and tenacity has taken him from a 2:2, to a barrister at one of the countries leading chambers (Doughty Street Chambers), alongside the leading legal minds in the country. A great example to us all.

A Great Suit for a Great Day

We had the great honour of tailoring the suit Tunde adorned to receive his honours at Buckingham Palace. You can find Tunde on Instagram and Twitter, be sure to follow him and congratulate him on his achievement.
