New Year, New You, New Suit

It’s 2017 people! Happy New Year. What better time than a new year, to get a new suit?

We are deep in the Autumn/Winter season, and London is experiencing seriously cold weather. Here a few things we recommend to bear in mind when purchasing your new suit.

New Year Suit Tips

1. Heavier Fabric

Opt for heavier wools (13oz) to give you an extra layer of warmth. Flannel wools are a big favourite at Morts & More.

2. Darker colours

You can wear whatever colour suit you like. Well maybe not in the city but you get my drift. The choice is yours but around this time of year, darker hues go down very well (introduce bright colours into your accessories and possibly overcoat).

3. Fully Lined

The lining is the material you see on the inside of your suit jacket. Usually made from silk, satin or cupro jacquard (to name a few). The lining can sometimes be limited to the sides of the jacket, leaving the back un-lined (half lined). A fully lined jacket will always give added warmth, even if it’s just a little.
